Angus Turns Four!

Today the littlest person in our house turns four! Seriously, where does the time go?! Not that I'm complaining! I love that my kids are getting older & finding their own little personalities. Angus' birthday theme request for this year was Star Wars. So naturally I hit Pinterest for ideas!!

R2D2 has always been his favourite character so I decided to base most of the party around him. I had the cake & cupcakes made locally (check out Kristy's work here) and got all the other supplies from Big W & Etsy. Big W's party section is fabulous! The huge R2D2 balloon & birthday banner were found there. The gold foil number 4 balloon came from eBay.

I got the idea for the Jedi robes & pool noodle light sabers from Pinterest. They were super easy to make & the kids loved them!

We all had a great afternoon celebrating our little man! Thankfully, I have another 4 months before planning another party!!

Til next time,

Friday Faves #1

Hi There!

Things have been a little quiet on the blog lately while I've been making a few changes in the shop but I'm back and ready to share some great things with you this year!

Each Friday, I'll be talking about 5 things that i'm loving at the moment from interiors to décor, sewing and everything else in between. So here's my first list of favourite things....

1. Bamboo 4 Tier Shelf from Kmart $35

I'd been eyeing of this shelf for a while & finally got a chance to head to kmart earlier in the week. I love how it makes our ordinary little bathroom look a little more sophisticated while providing some great practical storage - winning!

2. Pillowcase Dresses

I love these simple but beautiful dresses. These are a few I made for a customer. Definitely need to do an adult version! If you'd like to make some for the little princess in your life, go here.

3. Cool boy's dinnerware. $7 set - Kmart

It's often hard to find cool boys stuff (that doesn't cost the earth!) so when I spotted these in Kmart they were a must-have. Anything to make dinner time that little bit easier and the boys love them!

4. Craft Room Inspiration

I shared this pic on Facebook this week and many of you liked it. How awesome would it be to have a cupboard like this in your house?! Definitely swoon worthy!! Pic via Pinterest

5. Homemade Pretty Skirts

Sewing is not just about the kids! I whipped up this skirt for myself & LOVE it! It was pretty easy to make and SO EASY to wear! If you'd like to have a go head here

So there you have it, my favourite things for this week.

Wishing you all a happy Friday & a fun filled weekend!

Til next time,
